Privacy policy
This policy explains what peptidelabreview.com collects when you visit, why, who else is involved, and what you can ask us to do about it. It covers this website only — not any vendor site you reach from here.
Who is responsible for this data
This site is operated by Peptides Research (“we”, “us”), publisher of peptidelabreview.com, trading as [legal entity name] of [registered address]. For any question about this policy, or about data we hold, contact us through the contact page.
There are no accounts here
This site has no login, no registration, no cart and no checkout. We do not ask you for your name, address, phone number, date of birth, payment details or any health information, and there is nowhere on this site to give them to us.
- Server log data
- Our hosting provider records standard request data: IP address, timestamp, requested URL, HTTP status, referring URL, user-agent string. This is generated automatically by loading a page, and is used for security, abuse prevention and diagnosing faults.
- Analytics data
- Aggregate usage measurement — pages viewed, approximate region, device class, referral source, and which outbound links are followed. Used to understand which compounds and vendors readers compare, and to detect broken pages.
- Affiliate attribution
- When you follow an outbound vendor link, the destination vendor may set a cookie on their own domain to attribute a later purchase to us. We receive a commission report from the vendor, which tells us a sale occurred — not who you are.
- Messages you send us
- If you email us, we hold your message and email address for as long as it takes to deal with it and to keep a record of any correction it produced on the site.
- Preferences stored locally
- Interface state, where any exists, is kept in your own browser's local storage. It never leaves your device and we cannot read it.
We collect no special-category data. We do not ask what you research, what you buy, or why. We build no advertising profiles, run no retargeting pixels for our own advertising, and do not sell, rent or trade personal data to anyone, at any price.
Why we process it
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies to you, our legal bases are legitimate interests for server logs and aggregate analytics — in operating a functioning, secure website and understanding in aggregate how it is used; consent for any non-essential cookie or tracker, where consent is required in your jurisdiction; and legitimate interests for handling correspondence you initiate.
We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. No such mechanism exists on this site.
Ours and other people’s
Cookies here fall into two groups, and the distinction that matters is whose domain sets them.
Set in the context of this site: strictly necessary cookies for delivering and securing the pages, and analytics cookies or equivalent identifiers for aggregate measurement. Analytics is non-essential; where your jurisdiction requires consent for it, it is not set until you give it.
Set by vendors after you click out: when you follow an affiliate link, the vendor’s site sets its own cookies under its own domain and its own policy, typically to attribute a purchase within a fixed window. We do not control these, cannot read them, and cannot delete them for you. From the moment you land on a vendor’s site, their privacy policy governs and not ours.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and can send Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signals; we honour GPC where it is legally recognised. Blocking cookies does not break this site — nothing here needs them to read a page.
Who else touches this
We keep the third-party surface deliberately small. The parties involved in an ordinary page view are:
- Hosting and CDN
- Serves the pages and holds server logs. Necessary to deliver the site.
- Analytics provider
- Processes aggregate usage measurement on our behalf, under a processor agreement.
- Google Fonts
- Typefaces load from Google's font CDN, so your browser requests fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com and Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
- Affiliate networks and vendors
- Receive the referral parameter when you click out, and report conversions back to us in aggregate.
Where a provider is outside your country, the transfer relies on that recipient’s standard contractual clauses or on an adequacy decision. We disclose data to no one else, except where legally compelled or where it is strictly necessary to investigate abuse of the site.
How long we keep it
Server logs are retained for a short operational period — on the order of weeks — then discarded or aggregated beyond identifiability. Analytics data is retained in aggregate form, with any identifiers inside it kept no longer than that measurement needs. Correspondence is kept while a matter is open, and afterwards only as a record of what was corrected on the site. Nothing is kept indefinitely for its own sake.
What you can require of us
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it erased, to restrict or object to our processing, to receive it in a portable form, and to withdraw consent you have given. Under the CCPA as amended by the CPRA, California residents additionally have the right to know what is collected, to delete it, to correct it, and to opt out of sale or sharing — we do not sell or share personal data as those laws define it, so there is nothing to opt out of, but the right stands.
Exercising any of these costs nothing and will not get you treated differently. Ask through the contact page and we will respond inside the period your law requires — one month under the GDPR, 45 days under the CCPA. We may need enough information from you to locate the data. Be realistic about the limit here: for a visitor who has only ever loaded pages, we usually hold nothing that identifies you, and saying so is the honest answer rather than an evasion.
If you are in the UK or EEA and think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority — the ICO in the UK — as well as to us. We would rather you raised it with us first, but you are not obliged to.
This site is not for minors
This site indexes laboratory research compounds and is intended for adults working in a research context. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us personal data, tell us and we will delete it.
How this is protected
The site is served over HTTPS. We hold no payment data, no passwords and no user accounts, which removes the categories of data most worth stealing. Access to logs and analytics is limited to those who need it to run the site. No transmission over the internet is perfectly secure and we do not claim otherwise.
When this policy changes
We may update this policy as the site changes or as the law does. The effective date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes are summarised here rather than slipped in. Continuing to use the site after a change means the updated policy applies to you.
